The Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ), Water Quality Division (WQD) is enclosing
the authorization to operate in compliance with General Permit No. OKLAS240002, for a one-time land
application of biosolids from the Tulsa Metropolitan Utility Authority (Authority) Southside Wastewater
Treatment Plant (WWTP). The biosolids from Digester No. 1 will be cleaned out, slurried, and pumped to
the application area where a farm tractor pulling a multiple shank injector will be used to incorporate the
biosolids. The Authority’s application for this authorization was submitted to DEQ on April 2, 2024
