The Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ), Water Quality Division is
enclosing the authorization to operate in compliance with General Permit No.
OKLAS2200011, for a one-time application of biosolids from the McAlester Public Works
Authority (Authority) Northeast Wastewater Treatment Facility’s (NE WWTP’s) Flow
Equalization Basin (FEB) to complete a solids removal and liner replacement project. The
Authority’s application for this authorization was submitted to DEQ on September 19,
2022. The Authority submitted additional information on September 23 and 28, 2022.
